Computer Systems Operator
OmPrompt seek a conscientious computer systems operator to join its operations team. The job involves monitoring systems, interacting with translation engines, and liaising with other team members to resolve problems and correct errors. As part of a team, often working under pressure, you’ll need a positive attitude and not be easily weighed by responsibility.
To qualify, you must be computer literate, with an IT qualification or relevant experience a definite plus. Knowledge of HTML and/or XML would also be an advantage. You must be a stickler for detail with efficient and accurate keyboard skills. The team operates under a shift system that provides 24-hour cover, including most public holidays, so you must be prepared to work outside of normal business hours. To provide adequate cover, different shift patterns apply to different roles within the team, requiring that you live locally and have your own transport.
